How to install Kontakt 8 Portable.

1. Create an empty folder. The name of the folder itself and the path to it should not contain Cyrillic. The folder should be available for recording (you cannot install in the Program Files folder).
2. Run the installer (kontaktportable_v820.exe).
3. Press the Browse button … and select the created empty folder.
4. Press the Extract button.
5. At the first launch of the library manager, an automatic scan of factory content, as well as already installed libraries (scanning in the register) will be automatically scanning.

At the end of the scan, it is necessary to maintain changes and (trans) to start contact.

If at the first launch the changes were not saved, then automatic scan can be launched at any time by combining the Alt + Insert keys or from the manager’s context menu:

Add> Fast Search

By default, the library is added only to the classic browser (with the exception of factory content that is not added to the classic browser).
This behavior can be changed in the settings of the library manager: libraries> to manage libraries in the NKS browser

Kka, update the previous version of Kontakt 8 Portable.

1. Run the installer KontaktPortable_v820.exe
2. Press the Browse button … and select the folder in which the files of the previous Kontakt 8 Portable installation are located.
3. Press the Extract button
4. When the Confirm File Replace window appears, confirm file replacement (press Yes to All)

Note: In version 8.2.0, a new type of midi effects is added: ‘Patterns’. To add them to the database and, accordingly, you need to start the library manager to the contact browsers, press the Save button and restart the contact.

How to add Kontakt 8 Portable VST3 to DAW.

Method 1 (not suitable for all DAW):
Add the Kontakt8Portable Kontakt 8 X64 VST3 as an additional plug -in folder. For details, contact your DAW leadership (manual).

Method 2.
Run Kontakt8Portable Install.exe
On the page of choosing components, put a box ‘Add VST3 plugin to DAW’.
