Explore over 2,000 rhythm patterns recorded by renowned session musicians and adapt them to your tracks with flexible editing features: from African grooves and Latin polyrhythms to claps and clicks for your next pop hit.
Authentic Percussion Parts
The library includes shakers, tambourines, congas, cajones, and more—a total of 58 meticulously recorded instruments with multiple mixing options. Quick results are provided by ready-to-use ensemble presets, each containing up to five instrument slots that can be played simultaneously or individually for unique expression.
Quickly Find Drum Patterns
Simply enter your desired rhythm, and the new Session Percussionist engine will find loops and patterns perfect for your project. Easily preview suggested patterns and drag them into one of five interchangeable slots to quickly create your own arrangements. Customize patterns manually or with the built-in step sequencer: add and delete notes, change velocity and articulations, insert flams, and much more.
Streamlined Workflow
Browse ensemble presets and explore a wide range of carefully curated kits with corresponding sound presets. The browser makes it easy to search, filter, and preview sounds by genre tags, instrument types, and tempo range. Ensemble preset previews are synced to your project tempo for a faster workflow.
Your Virtual Studio
: Personalize your sound on the mixer page, where you can adjust EQ, compression, reverb, and delay parameters, and route individual signals and room mics to the direct outputs for customized processing. Remove unwanted high or low notes with the articulation filter, adjust the tuning, timing, and stereo image, then position each performer in the virtual studio using the XY pad and activate doubling for the perfect mix.

Session Percussionist is fully integrated with Kontrol S-Series keyboards. Use the intelligent Light Guide backlighting to visualize loop, single, and roll zones on the keyboard. This allows you to combine different patterns, improvise with custom rhythms, and create dynamic live performances.
